1. The aim of the school is to give its pupils a sound moral education and instill discipline in the Students. Parents or Guardians are requested to co-operate with the authorities of the school by urging tho regular attendance and punctuality of their wards, diligence at their horne work and lesson, and by insisting on neatness and cleanliness in their text-books exercise-book and personal appearance.
2. The Students are reminded to address their teachers and all the members of the staff with due respect and politeness. On the way to and from school, they are expected to behave in proper manner.
3. Students are responsible for the safe custody of their books etc. The School is not responsible. for lost goods. Students must be careful with their possessions.
4. Parents and Guardians are not allowed to see their children or interview teachers during the class hours with out the permission from the Principal.
5. Admissions are made to suitable classes based on the capability of the child.
6. Parents/Guardians are asked to fill in the admission form with the utmost accuracy.
7. New candidates must be introduced personally by the one who will be responsible to the Principal for their conduct.
8. A student who in the opinion of the school authorities is habitually lazy or whose conduct is injurious to the moral tone of the school, is liable to be removed.
9. A pupil who is failing in a class twice will be removed from the School.
10. A pupil who fails to attain the required standard in languages will not be promoted. Reports of general progress will be sent to parents during the year. This should be studied carefully and returned to the school authorities signed by a parent ora Guardian.
Promotions are granted on the basis of the whole year's work. The annual examination is meant to confirm the result of the year's work. The decision of the school authorities with regards to promotion is FINAL.
11. Parents are earnestly requested to see that their children attend school punctually. They are asked to Co-operate with the work of the school by enforcing regularity and discipline and by taking a general interest in the children's progress. They should check the diary regularly and note the teacher's remarks etc.
12. Pupils who have been absent from class, must produce an application stating briefly the cause of their absence.
13. No Pupil should leave the school premises without the permission of the Principal.
The observance of this regulation is of vital importance for the safety of the children and school discipline.
14. Books from the school library will be issued regularly. No other magazinés, books or papers may be circulated in the school without the permission of the Principal.
15. Every pupil is expected to subscribe towards anv school function.
16. AIl pupils are expected to come to school DAILY in freshly laundored uniforms with clean socks and well polished shoes.
17. No child will be allowed to the class unless; he or she is clean in person and dress, in case of boys they should have their hair trimmed above the ear level. Fancy haircut, hair colour or hair highlight will not be allowed.
18. Enrollment in St. John's High School implies on the part of the pupil and parents willingness to comply with the requirements and regulations of school.
19. They are strictly forbidden to buy edibles from street vendors.
20. Before the commencement of the final examinations, any arrears such as school fees, examinations fees, establishment fees etc. should be cleared.
21. Parents and Guardians are requested not to engage any teacher of the school as private tutor.
22. Students must be provided with all the text books, exercise books, as given in the book-list, and they should be cov-ered with brown paper with their name on it, failing which the students will not be allowed to enter the class room.
23. The Students must not disfigure the walls. No student should damage the school. He/She will have to pay for the damage done.
24. Scribbling in copies, books, walls, furniture & the blackboard is strictly forbidden.
25. The students are bound to make good the damaged done to school property & library books.
26. No student should enter the garden, uproot plants, break flower pots.
27. Late corners will not be permitted to attend school.
28. No child is supposed to bring any comic, books, magazines, newspapers to the school unless asked.
29. No child should talk to outsiders near the school compound.
30. 1f letters are addressed to any of the students, strict disciplin-ary action will be taken against them and all letters are sub-ject to inspection by the school authorities.
31. No collection for any purpose what so ever may be made in the school without the permission of the Principal.
32. Students must not give gift to the members of the staff.
33. Students will not organise any meeting, Picnics, excursions tournaments or fetes without the Principal's permission.
34. Each & every student must purchase an assignment book for his/her guidance.
35. No student should puncture any cycle within the campus. Such a student will have to face the Management Board.
36. No fire crackers or colours of any kind are permitted within the school.
37. During recess the school gates will remain closed for the safety of the students. No guardian will be allowed to enter or leave the premises during this time.
38. Use of Mobile phone in the school premises is strictly prohibited. The mobile set will be confiscated if any student is found with the same.

4. Before withdrawing a student from the School, a month's notice is to be given or a month's fees in view of notice.
5. No School leaving certificate will be issued until- all dues to the school have been paid.
6. A written application must be made by the parent or guardian for the Transfer Certificate of a student.
7. A Fee of Rs. 100/- will be charged for school leaving certificate.
8. A Principal can in the interest of the school, hava a child removed if In the formers opinion the student has failed to abide by the discipline of the school.
9. 25% seats are reserved for Below Poverty Line for student taking admission in Nursery. BPL students must produce Red Card and Caste certificate.
1 As regular attendance is an important element for successful work, a written application for leave must be submitted if leave is to be taken.
2. Every student must be present on the reopening day of the school after summer. Christmas, Easter and Puja vacation.
3. A medical certificate must be produced for absence of 3 days or more.
4. 90% attendance every month is a must.
5. Pupils are not permitted to leave the school during school hours without special permission from the Principal.
♦ Promotion is granted on the average of all the subjects in the year,not only the Final Examination.
♦ Passing marks for all subjects is 35% for promotion. A passing mark in English, Maths, Science and Hindi is absolutely necessary. A failure in two other subjects means detention in that class.
A Student must have 75% attendance for promotion. A student will be allowed to repeat the class only once.
Answer scripts of the Terminal Examination will not be kept beyond 7 days after the distribution of report card. Therefore any parent wanting to see the answer script of his ward may do so within that period in consultation with the Principal.
Besides regular Round tests there will be two Terminal Examinations and one Final Examination. No student will be allowed to go home after a test.
Student absent from any examination or test will not be re-examined.
In all questions of promotion or failure, the Principal's, decision is Final.
• A Student failing twice in the same class will be given a Transfer Certificate.
1. All fees must be paid by the 16th calendar day of each month. If 16th falls on a holiday, including Saturday and Sunday the fees must be paid earlier or on the last working day.
2. Fee paid after the 16th will have to be accompanied by a late fee of Rs. 50/-. Fees paid after the end of each current month shall be accompanied with an additional late fee of Rs. 100/- per month.
3. If a student's fees runs in arrears for more than two months, the student's name is liable to be struck off from the rolls.
4. Fees (except Caution Deposits) once paid will not be refunded for any reason whatsoever.
5. The Final result of the student will be held back if fees are in arrears.

Important Notes to the Guardian
1. Special attention is given to ensure a high standard of morality and discipline. Note : Children not doing homework or completing assignments may be detained after school.
2. Parents or Guardians are requested to co-operate with the authorities of the school by urging the regular attendance and punctuality of their wards, diligence at their home work and lessons and by insisting in neat personal appearance and confident personality.
3. Pupils must come to school on the opening day fully equipped with all books and stationery required for their respective classes. All books should be covered with brown paper.
4. The co-operation of parents is a very important factor in the development of the child. Every parent is expected to take an active interest in the child's academic, physical and cultural activities and regularly attend all the Parent Teacher meetings.
5. We seek parental co-operation and expect them to be cordial in their relationship with the school authorities and staff members.
6. Non observance of the clauses may lead to the removal of a student from the school.
7. Parents may meet the Principal on week days (Mon to Fri) between 1 pm to 2 pm. Parents may meet the teachers in school days only by prior appointment mentioning the reason through a note in the diary.
8. Please ensure that your child attends school neatly dressed in proper uniform. This will save them from the embarrassment of being punished.
9. Please do not send your child to school if he/she is sick to attend test/classes.
10. Do not send any expensive articles, jewellery etc, to the school.
11. The school is not responsible for the loss of personal articles.
12. Once your child is in school please do not disturb him/her/ school authorities by asking for leave before dismissal timer
13. Students have to be in school five minutes before the bell rings. Frequent latecomers will be sent home.
